Workshops
Ararat Regional Art Gallery presents special intensive residential workshops with leading Australian textile fibre artists to augment its exhibition program. These workshops are presented at Allanvale Shearers’ Quarters, located on a magnificent working sheep property, in the vicinity of the Great Western wineries and within a half-hour scenic drive to the Grampians. Needles and Pins – Children’s textile group
Ararat Regional Art Gallery and the Ararat Branch of the Embroiderers Guild Victoria work collaboratively to present monthly textiles classes for school-aged children. Participating children are taught needlecraft skills by local Embroiderers Guild members in a friendly environment. No prior experience is necessary. Group and School Visits
Ararat Regional Art Gallery welcomes visits from community groups and schools. Gallery staff can provide free talks and can assist teachers or group organisers to plan their visit. Entry to the Gallery is free, though charges may apply for special activities or out-of-hours visits.
Education Week
Ararat Regional Art Gallery, in partnership with the Victorian Government’s Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, annually presents free art workshops to primary and secondary government school students to mark Education Week.
